Leading chef becomes head chef for La Maison 1888 restaurant in Danang
One of the world’s Top 10 best chefs, the legendary Michelin-starred Pierre Gagnaire is now present in Vietnam. He has been named as head chef of La Maison 1888 restaurant at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.
As someone whom has won many culinary awards, Chef Pierre Gagnaire has set himself a target at age 65 to work in Vietnam and add it to his already prestigious resume.

Pierre Gagnaire is a famous French chef with his own brand of restaurants in Paris. Experts have said that he is someone who does not follow the status quo, and leads in trend of fusion-style cuisine.
This 3-star Michelin chef is famous for "fusion", which is a cuisine that combines various trends.
In 2005, he won three Michelin stars, and four years later received the prestigious award of the American Forbes 5-Star and became one of the 10 best chefs in the world by the prestigious Le Chef magazine, voted with a jury board consisting of 512 international chefs. Michelin stars are awarded by Le Guide Michelin guidebook as a measurement to assess chefs and the most prestigious restaurants in the world. His restaurant was awarded the third star, considered as the pinnacle award for any chef.
The restaurant is designed in the fashion of an old French villa.
