The VND 1 billion prize of the 2014 Golden Spoon contest has found its owner, but fellow professional chefs still wonder how it came to be that the team from Caravelle Saigon won.
“Using ingredients from Asian countries, it is still possible to cook a delicious Christmas party easily, by harmonizing the tastes of East and West. The presentation also helped to create a special Christmas atmosphere” said Chef Bao Thai Tran, captain of the Caravelle Hotel team
Representing the central, east, west and south regions were nearly 100 chefs across 30 teams held their own at Cam Chuong restaurant, Van Thanh Tourist Area in Ho Chi Minh City on November 18 and 19, 2014.
They are chefs who speak of their jobs with such passion that nothing can break that spirit.
